The BEC Austin Team
Since 1971, BEC Austin has been building more than structures for our clients—we've been building trust, longevity, and satisfaction.
With a spirit of dedication that began with our founder Bailey Elliott Senior in 1971, business partners Scott Wilson and Keith Pool continued his legacy and infused the company with their own values of community service, integrity, and dedication. Scott and Keith purchased the company in 2001.
This commitment is one of the many reasons our employees stick with us. In fact, Keith and Scott have been with the company since their own college graduations, and carefully hand-select new hires in the rare event of an opening.
That careful team-building focus translates to fantastic collaboration and a history of recommendation-worthy site results: our list of returning clients speaks for itself!
Scott Wilson
President & CEO
Scott brings his impressive experience and community spirit to the table, starting way back in 1981 as the Vice-President and Chief Estimator for the original Bailey Elliott. With projects ranging from a battered women's shelter to several prominent local churches to his credit, like his business partner, he believes in staying personally involved in each project, at every step.
In the past decade, Scott has put his attention into deepening his and BEC Austin’s commitment to sustainable building. With this in mind, he has acquired and maintained certification to become a LEED AP (2008), Green Boot (2010), and a Master Certified Green Professional (2012).
Devin wood
Vice-President of Business Development
Devin joined the BEC team in 2014 as a Project Manager and managed many commercial and multifamily projects as part of the team. In 2020, he moved into the estimating department as Chief Estimator. In 2024, he was promoted to Vice President of Business Development and now oversees all the estimating processes, pre-construction activities, and customer relationships. He has over 20 years of combined experience as an Estimator, Project Manager, and Field Superintendent, and this provides a thorough understanding of all aspects of commercial and residential construction. This experience allows him to assist developers with accurate conceptual budgets and cost projections. His experience working alongside design teams with budgeting and value engineering can provide invaluable cost savings through the project design phase, and his strong relationships with subcontractors in the Austin area provide a wealth of knowledge in all types of construction.
