The BEC Austin Team
For more than 40 years, BEC Austin has been building more than structures for our clients—we've been building trust, longevity, and satisfaction.
With a spirit of dedication that began with our founder Bailey Elliott Senior in 1971, business partners Scott Wilson and Keith Pool continued his legacy and infused the company with their own values of community service, integrity, and dedication. Scott and Keith purchased the company in 1991.
This commitment is one of the many reasons our employees stick with us. In fact, Keith and Scott have been with the company since their own college graduations, and carefully hand-select new hires in the rare event of an opening.
That careful team-building focus translates to fantastic collaboration and a history of recommendation-worthy site results: our list of returning clients speaks for itself!
President & CEO
Scott brings his impressive experience and community spirit to the table, starting way back in 1981 as the Vice-President and Chief Estimator for the original Bailey Elliott. With projects ranging from a battered women's shelter to several prominent local churches to his credit, like his business partner, he believes in staying personally involved in each project, at every step.
In the past decade, Scott has put his attention into deepening his and BEC Austin’s commitment to sustainable building. With this in mind, he has acquired and maintained certification to become a LEED AP (2008), Green Boot (2010), and a Master Certified Green Professional (2012).
After more than 30 years working for BEC Austin, Keith is a rare breed in the construction industry: a partner that believes in company responsibility, to clients and employees alike. Working alongside business partner Scott Wilson, Keith is proud to be a "boots on the ground" member of the BEC team, helping the PM and superintendent oversee everything from the bid process to the final walkthrough on a site.
Aside from interacting with owners, architects, engineers, and subs throughout the project, Keith focuses primarily on helping the project meet USGBC LEED and Austin Green Building Program requirements. He’s completed over 10 different bank projects, along with medical buildings, churches, offices and retail space… you name it!
